Head Baker @ Rastique Boulangerie
I started baking when I was 17 in 2012 and my passion for bread started to begin.
During and shortly after my apprenticeships I competed in regional and National competitions such as the Worldskills National competition where I won the silver medal in baking in 2016.
After winning the silver medal I had the great pleasure of being a judge for this amazing competition.
Also in 2016 I was awarded the BBM Youth Support Scholarship which funded a two month trip to Europe where I worked in various bakeries throughout London.
In 2017 I placed 2nd in the L.A Judge National competition where I won a trip to Hong Kong to learn more about some of the ingredients we use everyday in the bakery.
Since 2017 I have been a Victorian Mentor for the Baking Association of Australia.
This has enabled me to judge and be apart of many National baking competitions such as the Victorian baking show, Australia's best hot cross bun competition and Australia's best pie competition.
I have been working with artisan and sourdough breads since 2016 and this is where I began to become fascinated with wild yeast and natural fermentation methods.
My passion for this industry has helped me greatly in my career as I am always wanting to improve my product and continue to learn more.
Being the head baker at Rustique Boulangerie will be an amazing experience and test as we push the quality of our products to ensure the best for our customers.
